Second Sicily Interconnector Nears Completion as Malta Strengthens Electricity Security

Malta’s second electricity interconnector with Sicily is approaching completion. The approximately €300 million project will add a 225 MW connection and double Malta’s interconnection capacity with the European electricity grid, supporting security of supply and renewable-energy integration.
